The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC), Bihar has released the Constable (Operator) Recruitment 2026 notification (Advt. No. 02/2026) for 993 posts in the Bihar Police Radio Cadre. Candidates with 12th (Science – PCM) with minimum 50% marks and aged 18–25 years can apply online from 1 March to 31 March 2026.

Important: This recruitment requires 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics specifically. Candidates from other streams are not eligible. SC/ST candidates need a minimum of 45% marks.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: 10+2 Intermediate (Science Stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board. Minimum 50% marks for General/OBC and 45% for SC/ST candidates.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years (as on 01/08/2026). Age relaxation applicable as per Bihar Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection consists of the following stages:

  1. Written Exam (Qualifying — minimum 30% required)
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST) — Height, weight, chest measurement
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Race, high jump, shot put (qualifying)
  4. Document Verification
  5. Medical Test

Exam Pattern

The written exam is offline (OMR-based) with 100 objective questions for 100 marks, to be completed in 2 hours. The difficulty level is Intermediate (10+2) Science standard.
