Bihar Police Sub-Ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has declared the Preliminary Exam Result for Bihar Police Sub-Inspector recruitment under Advt. No. 05/2025. A total of 35,857 candidates have been shortlisted from the prelims for the next stage. The prelims was held from 18 to 21 January 2026 for 1,799 SI posts.

- Look for the SI Prelims Result / Merit List PDF link on the homepage.
- Download the PDF and search for your roll number using Ctrl+F.
- If your roll number is in the list, you are shortlisted for the next stage.

What Happens Next?
Shortlisted candidates will go through the remaining selection stages in this order:
- Physical Standard Test (PST) — Height and chest measurements
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Race, long jump, high jump, and shot put
- Mains Written Exam (19 April 2026) — The merit-deciding stage
- Medical Examination

Mains Exam — Quick Overview
The Mains Exam has two papers conducted on the same day:

- Paper I is qualifying only — you must pass it, but marks are not added to merit.

- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks per wrong answer

Tip: Focus your preparation heavily on Paper II (General Studies) since it determines your merit. For Paper I (Hindi), aim to comfortably clear the qualifying cutoff.
