C-DAC Chennai Project Engineer, Project Associate Online Form 2026

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai has invited applications for 59 Project Staff posts on contract under Advertisement No. C-DAC/CHN/02/RCT/2026 dated 04 September 2026. Posts include Project Associate, Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Manager. Online registration is open from 04 September 2026 (18:00 hrs) to 22 September 2026 (17:00 hrs).

C-DAC Chennai will fill 59 posts on a contract basis for up to 2 years or till the project ends, whichever is earlier. The contract may be extended based on performance and project need. The job location is Chennai (transferable). Project Manager posts may be posted at Chennai, Delhi, or anywhere in India.

Eligibility Criteria

Age, qualification, and experience will be counted as on the last date of registration, 22 September 2026. Age relaxation applies as per Government of India rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, Ex-servicemen, and eligible women. Government employees get 5 years of age relaxation, including other relaxations as per rules.

Project Associate (Fresher)

• Upper Age Limit: 30 years
• Experience: Nil
• Education: B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical & Electronics

Project Engineer (Experienced)

• Upper Age Limit: 45 years
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience
• Education: B.E/B.Tech with 60% or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical & Electronics

Senior Project Engineer (Experienced)

• Upper Age Limit: 40 years
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Education: B.E/B.Tech with 60% or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical & Electronics, or a postgraduate degree in Computer Application with 60% or equivalent CGPA

Project Manager (Experienced)

• Upper Age Limit: 56 years
• Experience: Minimum 9 years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Education: B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, or PhD with 60% or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical & Electronics, or a postgraduate degree in Computer Application, or a PhD in a relevant discipline, each with 60% or equivalent CGPA

Desirable skills vary by project and may include Java/Spring, web technologies, databases, AI/data science, networking, cyber security, project management, or hardware security and cryptography.

Salary

Pay is on a consolidated monthly basis. For experienced posts, the offer will match qualification and relevant experience as per C-DAC policy.

Contract appointees have no claim to regularisation or automatic extension of the contract. Selected staff may be transferred from one project to another anywhere in India.

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in interview. Eligible registered candidates will get a confirmation email in the 4th week of September 2026. The exact interview date and venue will be sent by email. Only candidates who register and report between 09:30 AM and 10:30 AM will be allowed to attend.

2. Download and fill the application form. Affix a recent passport-size photograph.
3. For experienced posts, also fill the one-page write-up and take 6 sets to the interview.
4. Carry the filled form, write-up (if applicable), originals, and one set of self-attested photocopies to the venue on the scheduled date.

• Valid photo ID with date of birth
• 10th, 12th, and degree certificates with consolidated mark sheets
• Experience certificates for the full period claimed
• Proof of current employment and No Objection Certificate (for Central/State Government, PSU, or autonomous body employees)
• Caste certificate (SC/ST) or Non-Creamy Layer certificate (OBC)
• Disability certificate (PwD, 40% or more)
• Income and Asset Certificate (EWS)
