Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released the Preliminary Exam Answer Key for the State Service Examination (SSE) 2025 on 23rd February 2026. The Prelims exam was held on 22nd February 2026 for 238 posts including Deputy Collector, DSP, Labour Officer, and other state service positions. Candidates can now download the answer key and raise objections online.

The last date to submit objections is 3rd March 2026. An objection fee of ₹50 per question is applicable. Don't miss this deadline — late objections will not be entertained.

How to Download the Answer Key

  1. Visit the official CGPSC website at psc.cg.gov.in.
  2. Look for the State Service Examination 2025 Prelims Model Answer link.
  3. Click on the PDF link to download the answer key.
  4. Match your responses with the model answers for both Paper 1 (General Studies) and Paper 2 (Aptitude Test).

Tip: Remember that Prelims has negative marking of 1/3 mark (0.66) for each wrong answer. Factor this in while calculating your estimated score.

How to Raise Objections

Candidates who find any discrepancy in the answer key can submit objections through the online portal. Here's what you need to know:

  1. Visit the CGPSC online objection portal at online.ecgpsconline.in.
  2. Log in with your credentials and select the relevant exam.
  3. Enter the question number(s) you wish to challenge.
  4. Upload supporting references or proof for each objection.
  5. Pay ₹50 per question as the objection fee through online payment.
  6. Submit before 3rd March 2026.

Note: The objection fee of ₹50 per question will be refunded if your objection is found valid and the answer key is revised accordingly.

Note: The Prelims is purely a screening stage. Marks scored in Prelims are not added to the final merit. Final selection is based on Mains (1,400 marks) + Interview (100 marks) = 1,500 marks total.

What Happens Next?

After reviewing all objections, CGPSC will release the final answer key followed by the Prelims result. Candidates who qualify the Prelims will be eligible to appear for the Mains Examination scheduled on 16–19 May 2026. The Mains consists of 7 descriptive papers of 200 marks each, followed by a personality test (Interview) of 100 marks.

Tip: If your estimated Prelims score looks comfortable, start your Mains preparation right away — the gap between Prelims result and Mains exam is usually short.
