The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the CTET February 2026 Admit Card soon at ctet.nic.in. The exam is scheduled for 08 February 2026 and will be conducted in offline (pen and paper) mode across centers nationwide. Candidates who applied for Paper I (Classes 1–5), Paper II (Classes 6–8), or both can download their hall ticket using their application number and date of birth.

CTET is an eligibility test, not a recruitment exam. Qualifying CTET makes you eligible to apply for teaching positions in KVS, NVS, central and state government schools, and many private schools. The CTET certificate is valid for lifetime.

How to Download Admit Card

  1. Visit the CTET portal at ctet.nic.in or the exam services link.
  2. Click on "Download Admit Card".
  3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Download and print the admit card on A4 size paper.
  5. Verify all details — name, photo, exam center, paper opted, and timing.

Exam Pattern

The exam is offline (OMR-based) with no negative marking. Each paper has 150 questions for 150 marks and a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes.

Tip: There is no negative marking — attempt every question. Focus on Child Development & Pedagogy as it carries 30 marks and is common to both papers. For Paper II, choose between Maths/Science or Social Studies based on the subject you intend to teach.

Exam Day Guidelines

What to carry:

  • Printed admit card (clear and legible)
  • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License)
  • Two passport-size photographs (same as uploaded in application)
  • Black/Blue ball point pen

What NOT to carry:

  • Mobile phones, calculators, or electronic devices
  • Books, notes, or any study material
  • Bags or pouches (check center-specific rules)
Important: Reach the exam center at least 30 minutes before the reporting time. The exam is conducted in a single shift — check your admit card for the exact timing.

What Happens After the Exam

CBSE will publish the result and scorecard on the official website. Candidates who meet the qualifying marks receive a CTET Certificate valid for lifetime. This certificate is essential for applying to teaching positions (PRT for Paper I qualifiers, TGT for Paper II qualifiers) in KVS, NVS, and other central/state government schools.

Salary after appointment: Primary Teachers (PRT) start at Level 6 (₹35,400–₹1,12,400) and Upper Primary Teachers (TGT) at Level 7 (₹44,900–₹1,42,400) under the 7th Pay Commission, with DA, HRA, medical benefits, pension, and promotion opportunities up to Principal level.
