IBPS has released the IBPS SO XVI Pre Result 2026 on its official website. The preliminary result is available for the recruitment of 1405 Specialist Officer posts under CRP SO/SPL-XVI. Candidates can check their results from 15 October 2026.
The result follows the preliminary exam held in August 2026. Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the mains examination, followed by interview and document verification.

Educational Qualifications (as on 21.08.2026)
- Graduation: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Central Government equivalent. Results must be declared by 21.08.2026.
- Computer Literacy: Mandatory operating and working knowledge in computer systems (requires a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/language or having studied CS/IT in High School/College).
- Local Language: Mandatory proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the specified local language of the applied State/UT.
- Ex-Servicemen Exemption: Matriculate Ex-Servicemen with the Army Special Certificate of Education (or equivalent) and at least 15 years of defense service are exempt from the graduation requirement.

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
- Applicability: Conducted for candidates qualifying in the Mains before joining. It is qualifying in nature; failure leads to disqualification.
- Exemption: Candidates who studied the specified local language in 10th standard or higher and can produce a valid mark sheet/certificate are exempt.
