The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the admit card for Junior Engineer (JE) CBT 1 exam (CEN 05/2025). The exam is scheduled for 19th, 20th & 25th February 2026 across centres nationwide. Candidates can now download their admit card from the official RRB website.

The admit card is mandatory for entry into the exam hall. Download and print it immediately — no candidate will be allowed without a valid admit card and photo ID.

How to Download the Admit Card

  1. Visit the official RRB website or use the direct link given below.
  2. Click on the RRB JE CEN 05/2025 – Download Admit Card link.
  3. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Click Submit — your admit card will appear on screen.
  5. Download and take a printout. Verify all details (name, photo, exam centre, date, shift).

Tip: If you find any error in your admit card (wrong photo, misspelled name, etc.), contact your regional RRB office immediately. Do not wait until exam day.

Exam Shifts & Reporting Time

The exam is conducted in three shifts daily. Check your admit card for your allotted shift.

What to Carry

  • Printed admit card (colour or black & white)
  • Valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, etc.)
  • Passport-size photographs (if mentioned on admit card)
  • Transparent water bottle and simple ballpoint pen

What NOT to Carry

  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic devices
  • Calculators (a virtual calculator will be provided on screen)
  • Bags, books, notes, or any study material
  • Wallets, jewellery, or metallic items (if possible, avoid)

Exam Pattern – CBT 1 (Brief)

CBT 1 is a screening test — marks are not added to the final merit. Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:15 ratio for CBT 2.

Total vacancies under this recruitment: 2,588 posts (JE – 2,293, DMS – 198, CMA – 78). The selection process after CBT 1 includes CBT 2, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

What Happens After CBT 1?

Candidates who qualify CBT 1 will be called for CBT 2 (Main Exam), which carries 150 questions for 150 marks in 120 minutes. CBT 2 is the stage that determines your final ranking and merit. Focus your preparation on technical subjects relevant to your branch.
