The Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway has released a notification (Advt. No. RRC/WR/04/2025) for the engagement of 5,349 Act Apprentices across 19 trades. The online application begins on 21st February 2026, and the last date to apply is 23rd March 2026. This is a merit-based selection — there is no written exam.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 24 years (as on 23/03/2026)
- Age relaxation applicable as per government rules for reserved categories.
Educational Qualification
- 10th Pass with minimum 50% marks from a recognised board
- ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade

Selection Process
This recruitment has no written exam. Selection is entirely merit-based:
- Merit List prepared based on average of 10th percentage and ITI percentage.
- Document Verification at the allotted Western Railway division/workshop.
- Medical Fitness Test — candidates must be medically fit as per railway standards.
Document Verification Centres
Verification will be held at Western Railway divisions: Mumbai (BCT), Vadodara (BRC), Ahmedabad (ADI), Ratlam (RTM), Rajkot (RJT), Bhavnagar (BVP), and various workshops (PL, MX, DHD, etc.). Centre allocation depends on the division/workshop you opt for and your merit rank. No TA/DA is provided.
