SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern (Brief)

PET prepares you for the online Preliminary exam. Prelims is a computer-based test of 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes, with a separate time limit for each section.

Section	Questions	Marks	Time
English Language	30	30	20 minutes
Numerical Ability	35	35	20 minutes
Reasoning Ability	35	35	20 minutes
Total	100	100	60 minutes

Exam Day Guidelines (Prelims)

When the Prelims call letter is out, read every instruction printed on it. Follow these points:

Carry a clear printout of the Prelims call letter. A phone copy is not accepted.
Carry original photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving Licence) and a photocopy.
Carry passport-size photographs that match the photo used in the application.
Reach the centre by the reporting time given on your call letter. Late entry is not allowed.

⚠️

Do not take mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, notes, or any electronic device into the exam hall. Check your name, photo, and ID details on the call letter as soon as you download it.

What Happens After PET

PET does not decide the merit list. After training, SBI will release the Prelims admit card. Selection then moves through Prelims, Mains, Local Language Test, document verification, and medical examination. Keep checking the official careers page for the Prelims call letter and result updates.
