The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj, conducts the UP Special Teacher Eligibility Test (UP Special TET) 2026 (Advt. No. 03/2026). Unlike the standard open recruitment or fresh-candidate TET, this is a state-level mandatory qualifying eligibility examination conducted pursuant to Hon’ble Supreme Court directives. It is specifically aimed at serving in-service teachers (in state-run, local body, and aided schools) and contractual/daily-wage Special Educators (Children with Special Needs – CWSN) to validate mandatory TET qualifications.
