The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has announced the exam dates for the 1st SLST Non-Teaching Staff (Group C and D) recruitment. The written exam will be held on 1 March 2026 for Group C and 8 March 2026 for Group D for 8478 posts. Exam Schedule
WBSSC will conduct an OMR-based written exam at centres across West Bengal. Group C covers posts such as Clerk and Librarian. Group D covers posts such as Peon, Helper and other support staff.

How to Download WBSSC Admit Card 2026
The admit card will be released on the official website about 7–10 days before the exam. Use your registration number and date of birth to download it. No hard copy will be sent by post.

- Open the admit card or login link for 1st SLST (NTS) 2025.
- Enter your registration number and date of birth (or password, as asked).
- Submit the details and view your hall ticket.
- Download the PDF and take a clear printout.
Exam Pattern
The exam is offline and OMR-based. Questions are objective (MCQ). There is no negative marking.

Exam Day Guidelines
Reach the centre early so you can complete security checks before the exam starts at 12:00 noon. Follow the reporting time printed on your admit card.
Carry these items:
- Printed copy of the admit card
- Valid photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving Licence or Voter ID)
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Stationery allowed in the admit card instructions
Do not carry:
- Mobile phones or other electronic devices
- Calculator
- Books, notes or any study material
What After the Exam
WBSSC may release a preliminary answer key after the exam. Candidates can raise objections if the commission opens that window. The result will be published on the official website.
Qualified candidates will be called for the next stage. This may include interview, typing or computer test for Clerk, and document verification, as per the selection process.
